This is the cocktail we originally bought Cynar for and now is the time to try it out. Tobacco Road combines smoky mezcal with herbal cynar and dry sherry. Lately we have come across several cocktails with sherry instead of vermouth.
Tobacco Road
1,5 oz Mezcal
1,25 oz Cynar
0,5 oz Fino Sherry
2 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
Grapefruit twist
pinch of salt
We really enjoy this even if its called Tobacco…. The smoakiness from the mezcal marries the bitterness from the Cynar. It turns out not to sweet (as we like it) and refreshing.
