Kretchma

chocolate liqueur, vodka
Kretchma presented by Cocktail Detour

So apparently one of our favourite bars in NYC, Cienfuegos, closed recently. We’re actually a bit saddened about that. It was Brian over at Eat This NY who introduced us to Cienfuegos during one of his guided cocktail tours through lower Manhattan a few years ago.

Luckily we still have a souvenir skull cocktail pick from the bar. We got it in one of their very strong zombie cocktail and kept it as a fond memory.

Today that particular pick reappears in the Kretchma cocktail. We really wanted to do a vodka drink and when we found this recipe we knew it was the one. Combining the vodka with chocolate liqueur is so tasty, and the small amount of fresh lemon juice brightens things up in a refreshing way. And just a few drops of grenadine is enough to colour the whole cocktail into its lovely rose red self.
