High Five

aperol, gin
High Five presented by Cocktail Detour

This Hemingway Daiquiri riff is very well thought through. Gin is used instead of rum and Aperol is used instead of maraschino liqueur. The bitter grapefruit juice goes along well with the gin and the Aperol. All that bitterness requires a small dose of simple syrup to keep the drink balanced though.

In the recipe it’s instructed to garnish with a high five (which is particularly hard when you are home alone).

Wow this is a good cocktail! As long as you don’t shy away from bitter flavours we think you will love this one. And made by Alex Day, it’s guaranteed to be a well balanced drink.
