This drink gets such a nice ruby red colour from the cassis. And it tastes as good as it looks. They smokiness of the mezcal combines with the sweet liqueur in a really pleasant way. The sparkling club soda helps refresh things and it all turns out in the most delicious of ways.⁠

The Tarnish

Recipe from “Tequila & Mezcal” by Sondlo & Rapp

Ingredients:

1,25 oz mezcal⁠
0,25 oz rhum Agricole⁠
0,25 oz crème de cassis⁠
1 oz lime juice⁠
0,5 oz simple syrup⁠
Club soda⁠

Mixing:

Shake all ingredients except the club soda with fresh ice. Strain into a highball glass, add fresh ice and top up with club soda.⁠
