Today our friend Christina celebrates her fiftieth birthday, and we are so eager to present this Cocktail Detour Original recipe to her.⁠

We used rum and Aperol as the booze base, and added pineapple juice, simple syrup and fresh lime juice to balance everything. The pineapple juice creates a nice foam, as well as contributing with an exotic sweetness. We think it all works out really well and that it is the perfect birthday drink, with some tiki vibes. ⁠

Half a Century

Recipe by Cocktail Detour


1,5 oz light rum⁠
0,5 oz pineapple juice⁠
0,25 oz lime juice⁠
0,25 oz Aperol⁠
0,25 oz simple syrup


Shake all ingredients hard with fresh ice and fine strain into a coupe glass.⁠
