When we recently received volume 2 of Åhus Akvavit’s cocktail book, we were immediately drawn to this recipe. The freshness of lemongrass combined with stingy ginger beer and the very Scandinavian akvavit creates a very exotic but still balanced drink.
Using akvavit in drinks is becoming more and more common, and we dig it! It’s a product packed with flavour, often from spices and herbs. To us akvavit is often more exciting compared to plain vodka, and it can really bring character to a drink.
Åhus Akvavit is kind of begging to be put into cocktails. It’s an akvavit full of flavour, without overpowering. That’s why we think it’s such a fitting product for drinks. Now obviously Åhus Akvavit think the same themselves as they’re releasing all these gorgeous recipe books.
