Pisco Sour

Pisco is not the easiest spirit to find in Sweden, but we bought a bottle at well stockedĀ www.astorwines.com in New York during a recent travel. Yesterday we did a classic “Pisco Sour” and were surprised by the fruitiness of this South American spirit. We bought Barsol’s Pisco and it worked really well with the sour lemon and the added bitters.

The Pisco Sour recipe:

2 oz pisco

1 oz fresh lemon juice

1 oz simple syrup

1/2 an egg white

A few drops of bitters on top of the egg white foam, created in the glass

The first sip kind of transports you to South America. This is a perfect cocktail on a hot summer evening.
