Paper Plane – abano variation

TheĀ Paper Plane is made with equal parts bourbon, aperol, amaro and lemon juice. It’s a bittersweet cocktail with both freshness (from the lemon) and depth (from the amaro and bourbon).

We like bitter cocktails, so the Paper Plane is definitely for us. If you’re uncertain about if you fancy bitter cocktails, this might be a good one to start with. Both the amaro and the aperol are bitter spirits, but they are very subtle and balanced in their bitterness. Both are actually slightly sweet, and the aperol even a bit fruity.

So, the Paper Plane is a good introduction to the world of bitter cocktails. Very soon you’ll be enjoying Negronis!
