In Södra Sandby, a village in southern Sweden, Skånska Spritfabriken are producing a line of very interesting gins. And the newest addition is a coffee gin, meaning a gin with a sublime taste of coffee.⁠

The possibilities to use this in cocktails are endless, but for our first attempt we created a dessert cocktail with chocolate and orgeat supporting the coffee gin.⁠

Turns out the velvety orgeat kind of hugs the coffee gin, and a smooth and silky cocktail is created. Maybe make one of those instead of having a cup of coffee after the food?!⁠


Recipe by Cocktail Detour


2 oz coffe gin⁠
0,5 oz clear cacao liqueur⁠
0,5 oz orgeat⁠


Shake all ingredients with fresh ice and fine strain into a coupe. Garnish with toasted coconut flakes.⁠
