EFFERVESCENCE

Here we wanted to create an original low ABV cocktail. We have been curious about Lillet Rouge for a while (after enjoying Lillet Blanc for a long while). The red version is a bit more fruity and maybe slightly sweeter than the white version. So we decided to pair it with bittersweet Aperol and sweet vermouth, and then top everything with club soda to get the sparkles going, and to further lower the ABV.

We knew beforehand, just by looking at the bottles, that we would end up with a very colourful cocktail. It gets this intense, purple-red tone making it look so mouthwatering.

We imagine this could be a great cocktail to welcome guests with at a spring party, or maybe to make a big batch and serve as a punch at different receptions. It’s very easy to drink . . . a lot of. And that is also fine given the low alcohol by volume.
