Being Swedes, it’s nice to sometimes do cocktails based on Swedish punsch. The Doctor is an equal-part-cocktail made also with gin and lemon juice, apart from punsch.
We served the cocktail in glassware from Reijmyre, a Swedish glassworks company who have been producing glass since 1810. It’s the second oldest glassworks still producing glass within Sweden. Some time ago we also found some peculiar coasters in a thrift shop. The coasters are made of cut out pictures and labels of different spirits and bottles. Nothing Swedish about them in the end, but they are still quite fascinating.
What’s in it
1/3 swedish punsch
1/3 gin
1/3 fresh lemon juice
The Doctor cocktail is rather sour. It’s a feature we like, but if you are used to more sweet drinks you could reduce the amount of lemon juice. Or potentially add some simple syrup.
