For an Instagram surprise event organized by Matthias Soberon we were assigned to do a digital cheers with Fede, an active bar enthusiast on Instagram. Fede is originally from Italy, but nowadays he lives in the Netherlands. He loves vintage barware and glassware just like us, so we were assigned the perfect cocktail buddy in this event.
To honor you Fede, and to acknowledge your impact on the Drinkstagram community we made a cocktail called Baltasar and Blimunda, created by Phil Ward. Originally this cocktail calls for gin, but we substituted it with Dutch Genever (from the country you live in). But in this cocktail there’s also Punt E Mes and Campari from your home country, Italy. The intriguing addition of port wine meant we needed to use our vintage wine opener, by Italian manufacturer Scaroni.
Obviously this is a Negroni variation. And what better way to celebrate a native Italian is there? We tried to photograph this cocktail in a Fede style. Grey background, closeup of the cocktail, light only on the important parts of the composition. I hope we make your feed justice!
Ok, now promise to head over to our Instagram feed to have a closer look at this cocktail, and of course also check out Fede’s feed!
Santé Fedé!
