It’s color is supposed to resemble that of a slightly cloudy sky, and it’s the small amount of violet liqueur that contributes with this sky like color. Combined with a characteristic gin, freshly squeezed lemon juice and the ever so important Luxardo Maraschino liqueur, these are our ultimate proportions for the ultimate Aviation:
2 oz gin
0,5 oz Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
0,25 oz violet liqueur
0,75 oz lemon juice
Shake with lots of fresh ice, strain and pour into your most fancy glassware. Decorate with a single Luxardo maraschino cherry.
