Here we made a sour with Rubis Blanc, a French pure malt distillate. It’s a clear product, making the sour look very transparent which we think is pretty sharp.
Sour recipes are great because of their riffability. By changing the base spirit for something else, using lime instead of lemon and trying a flavoured syrup – you can end up with a completely different drink that should still be balanced and taste well as long as the above ratios are maintained.
Recipe
Ingredients:
1,5 oz Rubis Blanc
0,75 oz lemon juice
0,5 oz simple syrup
Mixing:
Shake with fresh ice and strain into an ice-filled rocks glass.
