This drink gets such a nice ruby red colour from the cassis. And it tastes as good as it looks. They smokiness of the mezcal combines with the sweet liqueur in a really pleasant way. The sparkling club soda helps refresh things and it all turns out in the most delicious of ways.
The Tarnish
Recipe from “Tequila & Mezcal” by Sondlo & Rapp
Ingredients:
1,25 oz mezcal
0,25 oz rhum Agricole
0,25 oz crème de cassis
1 oz lime juice
0,5 oz simple syrup
Club soda
Mixing:
Shake all ingredients except the club soda with fresh ice. Strain into a highball glass, add fresh ice and top up with club soda.
