Sunflower

absint, gin, orange liqueur, st germain
Sunflower presented by Cocktail Detour

Another recipe from Kara Newman’s book “Shake. Stir. Sip.” This is a Sunflower cocktail, created by Sam Ross. It’s one of those four equal parts recipes, that is so easy to make at home.

It was super sunny when we shot these drinks. We had to shade off the sun, at the same time as we wanted to make the most of the light – it is a Sunflower after all. Then sipping on the drinks outside, in the evening sun was quite wonderful.

The cocktail is really good. Both the elderflower and the citrus is noticeable, perfectly backed up by the strong gin. And the Absinthe rinse just makes things extra exciting and aromatic.
