Being 50% a Gin & Tonic and 50% a Rebujito this highball gets quite Spanish, mixing two of Spain’s most popular drinks.
And it is quite understandable why these refreshing cocktails are so popular in sunny and hot Spain. With mint, sherry and tonic water, along with lots and lots of ice this is the ultimate remedy for warmness.
And yes, that’s ready-made Swedish Tonic we are using! This very Swedish brand started out with a tonic syrup which we have featured before. But now having the option to just open a bottle of ice cold tonic water is great during summer! It’s actually delicious also to drink on its own this tonic water!
Soft Shock
Recipe
Ingredients:
5 mint leaves
0,25 oz simple syrup
1,5 oz fino sherry
0,75 oz gin
0,75 oz lime juice
tonic water
Mixing:
Carefully muddle the mint leaves with the simple syrup at the bottom of a collins glass. Then add the sherry, gin and lime juice. Finally add fresh ice cubes and top up with tonic water. Garnish with a mint bouquet.
