Mai Tai

There are many variations of the Mai Tai, bad versions and good versions. On wiki books there is a whole page with more than ten different recipes. Victor J. Bergeron claims to have invented the cocktail in 1944 in California, at his restaurant Traders Vic’s.

We used an “early” recipe that only uses lime juice, orange curaçao, orgeat and no other juices or different liqueurs.

Mai Tai

1 oz dark rum

1 oz golden rum

0,5 oz orange curaçao

0,75 oz lime juice

0,5 oz orgeat

0,25 oz simple syrup

Shake with ice and serve. We served it on crushed ice.
