There is something refreshing about pear cocktails. And in the Gilchrist cocktail, by Daniel Eun, there is quite a lot of pear brandy. Combine it with scotch, grapefruit and Averna and a rather delicate cocktail emerges.

1,25 oz scotch
0,75 oz pear brandy
0,75 oz grapefruit juice
0,5 oz Amaro Averna
2 dashes grapefruit bitters
Shake with ice, strain into coupe glassware
