Fancy Nancy

campari, cointreau, gin, sweet vermouth
Fancy Nancy presented by Cocktail Detour

In this Negroni riff we thought it was very fitting to use the Spiced Negroni Gin from @fourpillarsgin specifically made to stand up against the flavorful Campari. It’s a great gin, also on its own. But it certainly shines in cocktails like this one.

The bottle of gin we brought ourselves all the way to Sweden from Australia. @sandra_l_weissel took us by car from Melbourne to Four Pillars Distillery. And not only were we able to buy the gin, we also got to sample it in the Distillery as well as having a cocktail in their bar. Afterwards Sandra took us to a local restaurant (where among other things we had the most delicious cauliflower we’ve ever tasted). Thank you Sandra for making that day so special to us!

There is also Cointreau and orange juice in the Fancy Nancy, it creates a brand new Negroni experience. It is less bitter, more fruity and larger in size. Now nothing beats the original, but this riff is super delicious and well worth making at home.
