Another truly inspirational Instagram cocktail feed is the one of Sasha @sashadallasgirl and a while ago she posted an amaro cocktail that intrigued us. So accompanying our zucchini pizza tonight is the “Bitter Seeker”, composed by Alex @thebarlesstender and beautifully styled and photographed by Sasha in her feed (check it out, posted late March 2017)! This drink starts off with a significant amount of bourbon, where brand and style is up to you to decide on. We chose Knob Creek, a personal favorite. Then there are two amaros, Averna and Cynar, both contributing with deliciously bittersweet notes. And finally to balance everything up Grand Marnier orange liqueur, some fresh lemon juice and a few drops of orange bitters are added.
1 oz bourbon
0,5 oz amaro Averna
0,5 oz amaro Cynar
0,5 oz Grand Marnier
0,5 oz fresh lemon juice
2 dashes of orange bitters
Stir with fresh ice, strain and pour.
