The Hanky Panky is a classical cocktail. It only uses three ingredients, so pick the brands carefully, it’s nice to use high quality spirits here. It’s also a little bit funny there is an underwear brand actually called Hanky Panky. They make underwear in lace, in all imaginable colors. One color is very similar to the color of the cocktail so we found it bit intriguing to include this underwear in one of the pictures.
The cocktail is very delicate. Bittersweet, a bit like a negroni. With dominant flavors from the gin, mellowed by the antica formula, but boosted again by the fernet branca.
What’s in it
1,5 oz gin
1,5 oz sweet vermouth
2 dashes fernet branca
Stir with ice until cold and slightly diluted. Serve immediately.
