We thought there was something almost fairy tale-like over the Enchanted Orchard cocktail by Joaquin Simó from Death & Co. The name of the drink makes us think about magic forests, strange creatures . . . and unicorns for some reason.
We wanted to shoot the cocktail while it was dark outside, and just have some lit candles in the background to further enhance the mysterious theme.
The cinnamon sticks used as garnish also help to make you think of trees and forests with every sip. And this is a fabulously good cocktail! We love how it’s based on pisco, and how well it works with the many other liquids added in the mix. It does make it enchanted in the end!
And isn’t there also something enchanting about Benedictine liqueur? Of its 27 spices and herbal ingredients 21 are known; angelica, hyssop, juniper, myrrh, saffron, mace, fir cones, aloe, arnica, lemon balm, tea, thyme, coriander, clove, lemon, vanilla, orange peel, honey, red berries, cinnamon, and nutmeg. However six ingredients still remain completely unknown/secret. This we think is exciting!
